Red silk satin ribbon printed in black; contains date "1852" at top, followed by engraved photographic bust-length male portrait with inscription beneath: "Peter Skene Ogden/Born, Canada, 1794; entered service of the/Northwest Co. 1811 as clerk; entered the/Oregon County, 1818, leading a trapping/party - headquarters, Fort George, Astoria;/named Mt. Shasta and Malheur River, 1825/-26, and Humboldt River, 1828; one of the/chief Factors of the Hudson's Bay Co. 1845/-1849; rescued survivors of Whitman mass-/acre, December, 1847; died Oregon City,/Sept. 27, 1854; buried in Mountain View/Cemetery./OREGON PIONEER/ASSOCIATION/49TH Annual Reunion/thursday, June 16, 1921"; seal of Oregon with inscription below: "NON TRANSFERABLE".
