This game is based on the adventures of Nellie Bly, the pseudonym of Elizabeth Cochrane, an American journalist who traveled around the world in an attempt to break the record created by the fictional Phineas Fogg in Jules Verne's Around the World in Eighty Days. The New York World initiated the enterprise and kept its readers informed of her adventures with pictures and daily articles on her adventures. She sailed from New York on November 14, 1889 and completed her round-trip journey in 72..
