Description 
Handmade linen handtowel with fabric tape loops at the top corners for suspension, square areas of drawnwork go down either side, containing stylized images of animals, plants and flowers, and a girl in a dress, going down the center are cross stitched stylized images of flowers and birds; there is a square panel of drawnwork at the bottom trimmed with drawnwork lacey fringe.

Gallery Label 
Hand towels were worked by adolescent girls of Pennsylvania German families and hung on the door between the kitchen and the sitting room of the home. The peak of hand towel production was between 1820 and 1850.
