Also seal of an Isthmian / railroad in which E. G. Squier was interested but / which petered out. / Gift of Mr Frank Squier." (with additional notations)
Gallery Label 
Notes found with this object indicate that one of the impressions was made from (a copy of?) a seal ring belonging to the English general and statesman Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658). The donor's ancestor Samuel Squire was Cromwell's auditor.
