Description: 
White wool felt Captain's double-breasted tailcoat, with 2 1/4" closed stand-up collar (3 sets hooks and eyes) with gilt lacing from the throat to the shoulders, 2 buttons at the lacing's terminus; 10 buttons down the front of each side of the breast; open cuffs with squares of gilt lacing against dark blue ground in a vertical chevron shape with 4 buttons, cuffs close with 3 sets hooks and eyes; 4 panels on the back of the bodice, with 2 buttons near the center at the waistline, vertical chevron-shaped applications on each tail, echosing the design on the cuffs, with 4 buttons applied to squares of gilt lacing, metal thread embroidered crossed branches at the end of each tail, tails trimmed around the outer edges with dark blue with white triangles at the bottom; bodice buttons all cast with crossed branches with "LC" at the center; bodice lined with white twill-weave linen, breast and shoulder yoke lightly padded and quilted, with bone button near the front left side at the waistline, tails lined with dark blue with vertical slit pockets on each side near the waistline.
