Round, silver 21 Club token with man and arrow, "21" on front; back: "JACK & CHARLIE'S 21 NEW YORK" with gates
Gift of Roy Eddey
Also of interest is a metal token from the 21 Club, acquired by the donor in the mid-1960s, as a souvenir of a memorable dinner at the famed restuarant and evening out in NY. Although the Society's Library includes two books on the history of the club and the celebrities who frequented it during the Prohibition era and beyond, there are no objects relating to 21 in the Museum's holdings. Submitted by Amy Weinstein, Associate Curator, 20th and 21st Century Collections, August 1, 2006
