A dark gold colored metal token with a silver disk inserted in the center encircled by a band of spiral decoration embossed with "New York City/ Transit Authority". The reverse reads "Good For One Fare". Issued between 1986 and 1995 with the silver insert in hopes of reducing the slug usage at turnstiles. Fares rose from $1.00 to $1.15 and eventually to $1.25 during the era this token was valid.
