Description: 
Hand-made medium blue wool kersey trousers with black piping down the side of each leg; 5 button fly; 4 buttons around the waist; horizontal slit watch pocket at the top lip of the waistband, pockets at each hip; no rear pockets, 2 straps at the back which fasten at the center to metal buckle with double-tongued chape; waist and pockets lined with white cotton.

This pair of trousers is part of a uniform worn by First Lieutenant Abram P. Haring, who served in the Civil War with Company G, 132nd New York Volunteers, from 1862-1865.
