White metal struck plaquette with domed upper edge; obverse depicts a cherub at a press, seated on cloud and facing right, with roundels bearing busts of Benjamin Franklin, at left, and T.L. DeVinne, at right, and inscribed "B.FRANKLIN. BORN.1706." and "T.L.DE VINNE.BORN,1828," respectively; printing press and neo-classical tripod burner; legend above: "AND THE LIGHT CAME"; inscription at lower right: ".DEGREE.OF.MASTER./.OF.ARTS.CONFERRED BY./.COLVMBIA.AND.YALE./.VNIVERSITIES.1901." Reverse is inscribed: ".FRANKLIN.BIRTHDAY.DINNER./.JANUARY.17.1902./.TYPOTHETAE.OF.THE.CITY./.OF.NEW.YORK." With booklet published by the Typothetae of the City of New York describing the event and the society and letter of conveyance signed by Brenner. Cream-colored rectangular fitted cardboard case with blue silk velvet lining.
