Dagger with double-edged steel blade which is diamond-shaped in cross section; elliptical steel guard; elongated baluster-shaped brass grip with textured surface and flattened ball finial; leather sheath with metal tip and tab pierced for attachment to belt.

According to the accession records, this dagger was made in London for the donor's personal use during the projected invasion of Europe by Allied troops (June 1944). The donor was then a Master-Sergeant in 3908 Signal Service Battalion, Photo GHQ, U.S. Army.
