Bronze struck medal with obverse showing clothed bust of H.J. Tiffin facing left with legend: "CIVIC LIBRARY INAUGURATED BY H.J.TIFFIN - 1896." Reverse depicts building amongst trees with horse-drawn carriage in front; legend above: "CHATEAU DE RAMEZAY"; inscription in exergue: "MUSEUM AND LIBRARY/1705-1896"; laurel branch beneath.
