Reverse contains inscription enclosed by laurel wreath, with scroll above: "EDWARD.OWEN.LEECH/DIRECTOR.OF.THE/MINT.APPOINTED.IN/MINT.BUREAU.UPON/ITS.ORGANIZATION.1873/DIRECTOR.OCTOBER/16.1889"; all within beaded border.
