Molded pearlware octagonal dish printed in medium blue with central view of battlefield with charging and dying infantry, smoke, Confederate & American flags, cannon in foreground; border of medallions with famous Confederate and Union generals with oak leaves and acorn border.

This platter represents Pickett's Charge, the disastrous infantry assault ordered by Confederate General Robert E. Lee on the last day of the Battle of Gettysburg, July 3, 1863. Represented in medallions around the border are generals Hancock, Longstreet, Meade, and Lee.
