Description
Ethnography. Studies of Native Americans: Catlin's reproduction of the markings on a Cheyenne warrior's buffalo skin robe; several painted scenes decorate this robe: a village with a mounted chief and warriors with dogs; a rifle battle; two lines of warriors facing off with spears and bows; men in Euro-American clothes shooting rifles at fallen warriors with a line of Native warriors in retreat.
