Child's Grecian mahogany rocking chair with deep yoke-shaped crest rail, vase-shaped splat, scroll arms, trapezoidal slip seat with textile upholstery, and saber-shaped legs attached to rockers.

According to information supplied by the donor, this child's rocking chair was made to match the parlor furniture in the William Nagel Dyckman home on West Houston Street in New York City. The donor was given the chair by Susan Dyckman, daughter of William Nagel, when he was a child.
