Description 
Wheelthrown redward baluster shaped jug, neck pierced with triangular cut outs; tubular rim has three protruding tubular spouts and handle that connects to a pierced hole in jug near base; slip-decorated with tiny dots on handle and upper, inscribed lower half.

The pierced openwork of the neck necessitates drinking from one of its spouts. Puzzle jugs were commonly made in Europe, especially England, from the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries.
