Description
Cast and wrought silver tea caddy spoon; Holly pattern with a down turned handle decorated with holly leaves and berries over stripes; gilt, heart-shaped bowl with raised and flared edges; engraved in the center of the bowl, "M E C;" makers' marks stamped on the underside of the handle.

The "Holly" pattern was not a full line pattern and is related to other Christmas patterns by Tiffany, such as "Holly and Mistletoe" pattern. The pattern can be found in the costin gsection of the spoonwork book from 1869-c.1895.
