Description
Aquamarine, lead glass bottle blown in a two-part mold (McKearin GI-110) with a hand-tooled finish; body is violin-shaped, with ten panels, the largest front and back panels embossed with portrait bust of Jenny Lind above a lyre; panels adjoining front and back panels embossed with vine-like pattern; ten-sided base has pontil mark.

Jenny Lind (1820-1887), the "Swedish Nightingale," was a soprano who toured America in 1850-1852 under the auspices of P.T. Barnum. Noted for her singing as well as her piety and charity, Lind was incredibly popular in America.
