Olive green lead glass figured flask blown in a two-part mold (McKearin GI-114) with hand-tooled flared lip, oval body with classical busts on either side (possibly Sir Walter Scott and Lord Byron), and pontil mark on base.
Gift of Clarence G. Michalis
According to McKearin and Wilson, the two busts depicted on this flask are traditionally identified as Scott and Byron, but the basis for this attribution is unknown ("American Bottles & Flasks and Their Ancestry," p. 552).
