Description
Olive green glass decanter or bottle blown in a full-size three-part mold (McKearin GIII-16) with a tapered cylindrical neck with a hand-tooled flared lip, barrel-shaped body with sloping shoulders molded with a geometric design consisting of vertical ribbing above and below a two-part band of diagonal ribbing over alternating panels of sunburst and diamond diapering, and a flat molded base (McKearin Rayed Type VI-A) with pontil mark.

Gallery Label
This object was once part of the folk art collection of Elie Nadelman (1882-1946), the avant-garde sculptor. From 1924 to 1934, Nadelman's collection was displayed in his Museum of Folk Arts, located in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. The Historical Society purchased Nadelman's entire collection in 1937.
