Description
Colorless cut lead glass candlestick; baluster vase-shaped candle socket with bobeche with upturned rim cut with band of strawberry diamonds on body and fans on bobeche joined by cut wafer to holow cylindrical stem with cut with design of interlocking circles with strawberry diamonds joined by faceted wafer to panel-cut pedestal base with a flat plinth in the shape of an eight-pointed star.

According to the accession records, this candlestick is Irish, but its provenance and similarity to other pieces of Brooklyn glass from the Corse family at the N-YHS suggest that it may be a product of the Brooklyn Glass Works.
