Description
Olive green, non-lead, blown glass bottle with applied seal "WD HART 1789;" bottle blown in dip mold and has cylindrical neck with applied up-tooled and flattened string rim, rounded shoulders, and a squat cylindrical body with seal applied on body below shoulder, push-up and pontil mark.

According to the accession records, this bottle belonged to William de Hart (1746-1801) who married Elizabeth Bleecker (daughter of James and Abigail Bleecker). de Hart was born in Elizabethtown, N.J. and died in Morristown, N.J. he served as a colonel in the American Revolution.
