Description
Colorless pressed lead glass compote with bowl and base pressed in one piece; bowl has octagonal rim with serpentine edge, stippled sides with alternating scroll and floral motifs, and waffle patterning on underside; solid pedestal base on square foot with waffle patterning on underside.

The style of this compote is similar to that of European pressed glass manufactured between 1830 and 1850. As it is pressed in one piece, however, it is more likely a twentieth-century reproduction.
