Molded pearlware plate with dark blue transfer print of Lafayette at Washington's tomb; plate has floral border with central image of man seated next to the tomb marked "WASHINGTON"; ship, temple, and setting sun in the background.

Gallery Label 
This plate bears a rare example of a retailer's mark. Harris & Chauncy, proprietors of a "china store" on Wall Street, served as retailers for the Staffordshire pottery firm Enoch Wood & Sons.
