Description
Aeolian harp with metal strings strung on either side of a hollow, wedge-shaped sound box with three shaped openings on narrow side; sound box and strings are mounted within a rectangular box with flared opening on one side.

According to the accession records, this harp originally belonged to the donor's great-grandfather, John Jay Cisco (d. ca. 1884), a New York City banker. Cisco used it in the garden of his Staten Island estate.
