Description
Vertical rectangular picture embroidered in various colors silk floss on silk ground; female figure center holding chalice to eagle upper left corner, American flag and liberty cap upper right corner, Boston harbor in off-scape far right, broken object and inscription under figure's foot, metal work and spangles applied far upper left corner, on chalice, and across bottom, figure's head and sky are painted, stitching covers most of ground; stitches include satin, outline, knots, chain, straight.
