Pieced cotton quilt with geometric pattern composed of rectangular and triangular beige, brown, red, blue, and green print pieces; tufted, with a single row of large square pieces along one edge; brown on brown print backing.

Gallery Label 
This quilt passed through several generations of the Vail family, according to information supplied by the donor. Its original owners were probably Luther Vail (1785-1871) and Mary (Smith) Vail (1786-1856), the donor's great-grandfather and great-grandmother.
