Description
Pale green silk taffeta Quaker bonnet; soft crown with loosely knotted band, and bow in back with two wide streamers attached below; knotted band, bow, and streamers with piping made of same green taffeta fabric; inner brim lined with ivory needlepoint lace with an ivory grosgrain ribbon tie attached at each side of open back; crown lined with ivory silk.

According to the accession records, this bonnet was worn by Eliza L. Jenkins, who was born in 1808 and married William H. Macy in 1828. Eliza Jenkins was the grandmother of the donor.
