Description 
Yellow silk flag of the 16th Artillery Regiment of the New York State Volunteers; in center two gilt crossed cannons with a banner above inscribed, "16th ARTILLERY REGIMENT N.Y.S.V." and below a banner inscribed, "PRESENTED BY THE CITY OF NEW YORK"; above is the Astor arms (beavers and cider casks divided by windmill blades) between a sailor and a Native American holding a bow and below an eagle surmounting a globe; gold silk fringe trim on the three edges of the fly.
