These slippers were worn by Cornelia de Peyster, daughter of Isaac and Maria (Van Ball) de Peyster, on October 12, 1712, when she married Oliver Stephen Teller (b. 1685), son of Andres and Sophia (Van Cortlandt) Teller. They may also have been worn by the donor on the occasion of her marriage, April 30, 1908.
