Description
Bronze object excavated at the British military camp on the Dyckman farm in Washington Heights, Manhattan; thin, flat plate; rectangular with convex sides at one end; tapers into oval at other end; pierced with three holes, broken off at rectangular end.

This fragment was excavated on October 6, 1936 by the Field Exploration Committee at the British camp on the Dyckman farm, at Payson Avenue and Beak Street in Washington Heights. It was possibly part of a cheek guard for a soldier's hat.
