Description 
Molded pearlware cup and saucer with dark blue transfer print of Lafayette at Franklin's tomb; cup with slightly flared rim and circular foot, floral border on interior, exterior with scene of figure at tomb inscribed "Franklin"; deep saucer with same transfer print.

Gallery Label 
Fanciful tombs and grave sites of American heroes were popular subjects on historic blue Staffordshire. This printed image is exactly the same as another Enoch Wood & Sons view of Lafayette mourning Washington, except the name on the tomb is changed.
