Description
Gold brooch/pendant worn by Hannah Hoes, wife and first cousin of President Martin Van Buren, and President Van Buren's daughter-in-law (and niece of Dolly Madison); brooch set with 14 sapphires (4 dangling, 10 fixed); gold is worked into filigree-type scrolls and soldered with gold balls; 3 gold elements hanging from bottom.
