Description 
Small milk jug with cover with gilded berry knop and blue leaf; blue enamel band with gold stars around rim of cover and jug; love birds holding red flowers on black and gold striped perch encircled by "O" shape with round center and oval exterior filled in with blue enamel and gold stars; intelaced receded handles terminating in molded, blue enameled sprays; the oval is encircled by a rust and gold lappett band.

This jug was given by Clarkson Crolius (1773-1843) to Elizabeth Meyer (ca. 1774-1856) at the time of their marriage in 1793. Crolius was a New York potter and politican.
