Description
Cast silver coffee and tea service in the Georgian melon pattern, consisting of a coffeepot, teapot, hot water pot, kettle on stand with burner, sugar bowl with lid, creamer, tea caddy, waste bowl, and sugar tongs; round, squat bodies (except for tea caddy which is elongated) with a chased lobes decorated with a foliate scroll design on four cast legs; legs attached to the bodies with trefoils dropping into paw feet; convex shoulders flared to scalloped rims with applied cast gadrooning; lids, where applicable, cast round mushroom domes with a chased scrolled foliate design with lobed knob finials; "A T M" in script on center fronts, and "November 10th 1897" in script on the bases; makers' marks on bases.
