Wrought silver coffeepot; body oval in plan, with plain convex sides, double convex bands inset between the main body and the concave shoulder with an unadorned rim; applied, plain, oval footring; raised, hinged, concave lid, oval in plan, flat at rim with a stamped foliate band, rising in the center to an applied domed platform surmounted by a cast urn finial; angled handle sockets, round in section, fitted with a wooden loop handle; curved and tapered spout with a notched lip; engraved shield in the center divided by a chevron, with two leaping stags and an open hand above and one leaping stag below the chevron, leaping stag in a field above the shield and a banner engraved, "PIETAS ET JUSTITIA" below (possibly Roger family crest); no maker's mark.
