Description
Molded porcelain pitcher with scrolls on handle and under spout in low relief, paneled neck rimmed in gold and rounded cylindrical bowl both with lavender sprigs of scroll foliage rosettes, the base with molded gardroons and wave pattern band, circular foot has gold band and band of lavender beads.

According to accession records, Mr. E. L. Hoyt, grandfather of the donor, comes from an old Long Island family. This pitcher was delivered to the society by Mr. Frederick L. Washbourne of the Italian consulate, Florence, Italy, to whom it was entrusted by the donor.
