Description 
silver spoon handled tea infuser; "Wave edge" pattern with an upturned- rounded end with shell decoration, down-turned handle with a wavy foliate outline, and a perforated, elliptical bowl with a outlined shell on the back; perforated cover with a hinge at the handle joint; makers' marks stamped on the underside of the handle.

Gallery Label 
The "Wave edge" pattern was designed by Charles T. Grosjean (active 1868-1888). It was patented on July 15, 1884 and introduced the same year. The design was discontinued in 1913, reintroduced on August 17. 1956 and quickly discontinued before is was reintroduced again in 1987 in conjunction with the 150th anniversary of the firm.
