This shade is made almost entirely of confetti glass, a Tiffany Studios innovation created by pressing small flat splinters or flakes of differently colored glass upon the surface of semi-soft sheet glass. The shade appears on Tiffany Studios' 1906 price list as "Gentian Blossom, convential [sic] jeweled, flat."
