Dark blue transfer printed pearlware plate with slightly scalloped edges; the central image depicts a large ship, the Cadmus at anchor with the American flag flying; a smaller boat approaches the shore and three figures stand in the foreground; the border pattern is composed of shells and has an irregular center.
