Description 
Wrought silver plate fish platter; oval, bowl-shaped body with an applied concave rim with an applied reeded band around the edge; Livingston family arms engraved on the rim, shield divided into four quadrants, 1 and 4 three gilly flowers, 2 quartered, 1 and 4 chevron with a rose of the field between two lions passant, 2 and 3 three martlets, 3 bend between six billets, surmounted by a ship of three masts and a banner below inscribed, "SPERO MELIORA" in roman letters; maker's mark stamped on the base.
