Description
"Chasseur pattern" dark blue wool felt forage cap; black patent leather visor which is flat and somewhat rectangular; soft crown with circular, countersunk top with 1 1/2" square of red felt attached to center; "140" between curved branches of laurel(?) embroidered in heavy gold metallic thread on front; black patent leather chin strap secured at either side by a gilded metal button embossed with monogram "GAR"; leather sweatband and black textile lining.
