Description
Black beaver (silk) chapeau with rigid crown and cock and fan that are stiffly vertical and tied together with black ribbon on either side; loop of gold metallic cloth tape with gilded metal button embossed with an eagle clutching an anchor in one talon within a border of rope and thirteen stars, applied over black silk rosette; gold bullion fringe at each corner; leather sweatband and brown silk lining.
