SULZER/ POR EL PRESIDENTE/ ESTRADA CABRERA DE/ GUATEMALA 1910." in block letters.

According to the donor, this plate was hammered from native silver by a Mayan craftsman for Alvarado (ca. 1485-1541), the Conquistador of Guatamala. It was presented to the donor by Estrada Cabrera (1857-1923), President of Guatamala.
