Card game "Schley at Santiago Bay" with fifteen playing cards in a paper covered cardboard box; each card has a name of a significant battle in the history of war such as Vicksburg, Waterloo, Blenheim, etc. with the year of the battle and historical information provided; box cover lithographed with a medallion portrait of Winfield Scott Schley and battleships in a harbor; box cover inscribed, "SCHLEY/ AT/ SANTIAGO/ BAY./ STARRY FLAG SERIES/ COPYRIGHT 1899 CHAFFEE & SELCHOW, NEW YORK."

Gallery Label
Winfield Scott Schley (1839-1911) was the commander of the U.S. Navy's "Flying Squadron" until it was united with the "North Atlantic Fleet" under Admiral Sampson. At the Battle of Santiago, Schley was the commander of the U.S naval forces present, and fought the battle from his position aboard the BROOKLYN.
