Description
Two picture puzzles in a paper covered cardboard, and wood box depicting battles from the Spanish-American War; complete 50 piece puzzle depicting the battle of Manila with the American battleship "Olympia" sinking the Spanish ship "Reina Maria Cristina" with other ships in the background; base of this puzzle inscribed, "THE BATTLE OF MANILA BAY/ COPYRIGHT 1898 BY F. D. MAHER/ OLYMPIA. (FOUGHT BY ADMIRAL DEWEY, MAY 1ST 1890) REINA MARIA CRISTINA"; second 45 piece puzzle (missing five pieces) of the American Asiatic Squadron with six ships at sail on the ocean; base of the second puzzle inscribed, "ASIATIC SQUADRON/ BALTIMORE. CONCORD. OLYMPIA. PETREL. BOSTON. RALEIGH. Mc CULLOCH. TRANSPORTS/ COPYRIGHT 1898 BY F. D.
