"Games of Pilgrim's Progress, Going to Sunday School and Tower of Babel" board game with a hinged box that opens like a book with two boards on the interior and one on the exterior; interior boards with one side chromolithographed with an image of the "Tower of Babel" and the other side with a path of red ovals around four churches and a giant clock; box opens to a star shaped board with a multi-colored path with circular medallions depicting the journey fromthe city of Destruction to the Celestial City, the landscape includes The Cross, Vanity Fair and the Valley of the Shadow of Death; game board slids into a paper covered cardboard sleeve with a chromolithograped label with an image of "CHRISTIAN PASSES THE LIONS", and the inscription, "GAMES OF THE/ Pilgrim's Progress/ GOING TO SUNDAY SCHOOL/ AND/ TOWER OF BABEL/ McLOUGHLIN BROS. MANUFACTURERS, NEW-YORK/ Entered According to Act of Congress, in the year 1875, By McLOUGHLIn BROS., In the Office of the Librarian of Congress, at Washington."; playing pieces include a double-arrowed spinner on a wooden block, eighteen turned wooden playing pieces and a direction booklet.
