"Game of Trip Around the World" board game with five lead yachts and three wooden dice cups in a paper covered cardboard game board applied across the top of the bottom half of the box; game board with a flap on the right sit that lifts to store playing pieces; board chromolithographed with a map of the world with a red path around the world starting in New York and ending in London, gold medals around the edge of the board with flags representing countries along the route; box cover with an image of Venice, Italy in the upper right corner and an image of three children riding a sea turtle on a beach with a steamship in the background in the lower left corner; box cover inscribed, "GAME OF/ TRIP/ ROUND/ THE/ WORLD/ Copyright 1897 by/ McLOUGHLIN BROS.
