"Commerce" card game consisting of 46 cards, with different commodities printed on each including oats, corn, cotton, sugar, etc. in cardboard box covered in paper; instruction booklet; cover illustration (in various colors) of a woman holding cards in one hand and the other raised above her head; box cover inscribed, "COMMERCE/ PUBLISHED BT THE J. OTTMANN LITH. CO. N. Y.".

In the card game Commerce, the aim of the players is to collect all the cards of a certain commodity by yelling bids to the other players in an attempt to corner the market. Players do not take turns, but rather win their cards by out-yelling the other players. These actions resemble the frenzied trading pit in D.W. Griffiths' famous film, A Corner in Wheat (1909).
