The ERA or Equal Rights Amendment was introduced amid the Women's Suffrage movement in 1923. After nearly 50 years, Congress passed it in 1971. However, fierce debates about its effectiveness continued, and a group of women banned together to form the "Stop ERA" movement. This button was worn by supporters of the amendment.
